Eunice was a lifelong resident of St. Charles County, known for her kindness and strong connections within the community. She cherished her family, especially her children and grandchildren, and was deeply dedicated to her faith as a member of the Lutheran church. Baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, she remained active in her congregation, Immanuel Lutheran Church, in St. Charles, throughout her life.
A graduate of St. Charles High School and Valparaiso University, Eunice went on to attend the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University. She worked for Lutheran Family and Children's Services, where she made a positive impact on many lives.
In September 1956, Eunice married Dr. William Poggemeier Jr., with whom she shared a wonderful life. She was a proud Golden Girl in P.E.O. and spent many years playing bridge with her club. Eunice had a charitable spirit, always willing to donate her time to help others. She also had a passion for travel, exploring both the United States and Europe. More than anything, Eunice loved spending time with her family and will be remembered for the joy she brought to those around her.
