Gerdts; dearest daughter of the late Henry Frederich and Effie Amelia (nee: Schmidt) Philipps; loving mother of Margie (Gerald) Kurka; dear sister of Helena (Raymond) Boschert, Vernon (Mildred) Philipps, the late Fred Philipps and Henry Philipps Jr.; cherished grandmother of Emanuel (Jensen Estrada) Kurka, Jesse and David Kurka; our aunt, sister-in-law, cousin and close friend. Mrs. Gerdts was a Lutheran Braille worker. She was a quilter for over 50 years quilting with Trinity Lutheran Birthday Club, Trinity Lutheran Quilting Circle and for others.
