F. Helen Haywood (nee Vermillon), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Donald F. Haywood; cherished daughter of the late Bernard Vermillon and Helen Quinn. Devoted mother of Debra (Gary) Hart, William W. (Dawn) DuMont, Jr., Larry (Becky) Haywood, and Kelly Haywood; loving grandmother of Brianna (Tim) Hammerly, Andrea DuMont, Devin DuMont, Chelsea Haywood, Erica (Anthony) Bannister, and Austin (Ali) Haywood; treasured great-grandmother of Henriette, Winslow, Lilly, Emilia, and Carter; dear sister of Bernard (Venita) Vermillon, and Mary Anne Conrad; beloved aunt and friend. Preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Burns.

Helen was a member of St. Teresa Academy Alumni Association, St. Charles Sister Cities, and First St. Charles United Methodist Church. Helen's passion for travel took her to various destinations worldwide, including China, Germany, Alaska, Mexico, Hawaii, and Jerusalem. In addition to exploring new cultures, she found solace in her garden, dancing, and dedicated her time to numerous community service initiatives. Helen was deeply engaged in holistic and alternative medicine practices. Throughout her career, she was a dedicated employee of McDonnell Douglas and Citi Bank. Above all, her family brought her the utmost happiness and fulfillment. Helen was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
