Ferd H. Ramspott

Ferd H. Ramspott, of Saint Peters, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at the age of 93. Loving husband of the late Helen Ramspott (nee Tomasczewski); beloved son of the late Ferdinand and Alice Ramspott; devoted father of Karen (Phil) Gold, Terri (Randy) Stum, and Jody (Bill) Richards; cherished grandfather of Sam (Jackie) Gold, Rachel (Joey) Plaggenberg, Emily Stum (fiancé Brandon Elrod), Sarah (Jeremy) Cowen, Michelle Richards, Brook Richards; treasured great-grandfather of Eberle Gold, Juno Gold, Lorraine Ferde Plaggenberg, and Quinn Richards.
Ferd proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. After serving in the military, he began his cash register business, which he operated successfully for more than 30 years. He was able to retire at 51 and spend the rest of his life pursuing his passion for boating.
Ferd and Helen boated on the Mississippi, Kentucky Lake, and wintered on their 47’ cruiser in Florida. They had many adventures together and with their family. They were not always safe, but always exciting and very memorable! As an outdoorsman, Ferd also liked to fish and go out on his bass boat.
Ferd loved having family over and spending time with his grandkids. He was a man with a sharp and curious mind, and he had a great sense of humor. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A private service will be held Monday for immediate family only, due to Covid and to honor his request. Flowers and donations are respectfully not needed but we do appreciate your kind thoughts and prayers.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Baue Funeral Homes does require all family members and guests to wear a mask while visiting our facilities. Social distancing is required, and guests should stay at least 6 feet apart. Thank you for your understanding.
