Fern Bittner

Bittner, Fern, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Thursday, November 28, 2013 at the age of 78. Loving wife of Groff Bittner; beloved daughter of the late Howard and Hazel Palmer; devoted mother of Stewart (Marsha) Bittner and Rhonda Mikiska; cherished grandmother of Jane, Jonathan, Charles, Lyndsay, Jessica, Jennifer, Katie, and Samuel; treasured great-grandmother of 9. She is preceded in death by her sister Betty Spampanato.
Fern taught at then Lindenwood College as the Director of Horsemanship for 25 years, after teaching she began to work as a manager, judge, and steward of world championship horse shows, specifically Arab Morgan Saddlebred and all breed shows, she is a life member of the ASHA which is now the United States Equestrian Federation. Fern loved her horses and enjoyed teaching many people over the years.
