Flora Barnhart

Flora Louise (nee Vossenkemper) Barnhart, of St. Peters, Missouri was born November 6, 1928, in St. Charles, Missouri to Henry and Florence (nee Michael) Vossenkemper. She entered into eternal rest, on Friday, August 16, 2024, at the age of 95 years. 

She is survived by her sister, Janice (Dennis) Scott, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Barnhart, her parents, sister Dolores (Myrl) Sidel, brothers - Frank (Mitzie) Vossenkemper, Ernst Vossenkemper, Charles Vossenkemper, and Paul Vossenkemper, sisters-in law, brothers-in-law, and nephews. 

Flora attended school in St. Charles, Mo. graduating from St. Charles High School in 1947. She worked as a proof-reader for the Banner News in St. Charles and as a clerk in the St. Charles County Recorder of Deeds office. She was a long-time parishioner of Sts. Joachim and Ann Catholic Church. She and Roscoe married in July 1973 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. They were married for 46 years before his death in 2019. She enjoyed drawing, crocheting, sewing, and working on puzzles. She and her sisters, Dolores and Janice, enjoyed traveling. After her marriage to Roscoe, they became travel partners. 

Flora spent her last years at The Arbors at Sugar Creek in Troy, Mo and the kind, caring staff became a second family to her. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
