Florence M. Brendel

Florence Brendel of Saint Charles, MO, formerly of St. Ann, MO passed away at the age of 91 on Wednesday, March 27, 2019. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Brendel, Sr.; her parents, Ader Thompson and Margaret Henry; and two brothers, Darven and Charles Thompson; and one sister Pat Dunn.

Florence is survived by her children, Barbara (David) Melchor, Charles J. (Kay) Brendel, Jr., Thomas (Kristie) Brendel, Daniel (Rita) Brendel, and Timothy (Penny) Brendel; sisters-in-law Jean Thompson and Vi Tacchi; and fourteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

Florence belonged to and participated in many organizations throughout her life. She was a member of the American Legion Post 341 Ladies Auxiliary and, as a devout Catholic, she was a faithful member of St. Cletus Catholic Church and previously a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Spending time with her family and cooking for them brought absolute joy to Florence. Everybody that ever met her liked her immediately and she never met a stranger.
