Lindsey, Floyd M. of O’Fallon, MO, died Friday, April 8, 2016, at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Betty L. Lindsey; cherished son of the late Lilburn Bryan and Lois Bulah Lindsey; devoted father of Sheila (the late Nick) Grana, Myron Lindsey, Yvette (Norval) Ray, Judy Salsman, Patrick (Angela) Lindsey, Stacey Lindsey, and the late Bryan Lindsey; loving grandfather of 23; treasured great-grandfather of 32; dear brother of Don (Barbara) Lindsey.
Floyd proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He retired from McDonnell Douglas after 36 years. After retirement, he and Betty traveled throughout the United States in their fifth-wheel trailer taking in as many sites as they could. He was a Boy Scout leader for 25 years for his sons and grandsons. He was strong in his Catholic faith, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Floyd loved camping and spending time with his family. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and taking care of his yard. He also enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals. He was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.
