Floyd William Wright

Wright, Floyd William, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away peacefully at the Meadowlands surrounded by family on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at the age of 85. Dearest husband of 62 years to Betty Ann Wright nee Besel; dear son of the late Floyd E. and Isabelle Wright; devoted father of Dr. William B. (Gail) Wright, Robert A. (Kelly) Wright, Bruce L. Wright and Brian S. (Joan) Wright; beloved grandfather of Dr. Amberle, Bradley, Trevor, Katherine and Taylor Wright. Floyd was a decorated veteran of WWII, serving proudly as a member of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Sigma Pi Fraternity at the University of Missouri-Rolla. He was retired after 37 years as a Mechanical Engineer with McDonnell Douglas. The family would like to send a special thank you to Heartland Hospice and the Meadowlands staff members for their loving and tender care they provided Floyd and his family. Memorials may be made to Church of the Master Memorial Fund or St. Louis Alzheimer's Foundation.
