Fran Cressler
October 7, 1950 — April 23, 2022
Fran Cressler (nee Pavlek), of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022, at the age of 71. Beloved wife of 53 years to the love of her life, Don Cressler; cherished daughter of the late Frank Pavlek, Jr. and Dorothy Pavlek. Devoted mother of Justin (Chris) and Brian Cressler; loving grandmother of Rachel and Jacey Cressler; dear sister of James "Jim" Pavlek (Roger Hill), Frank (Theresa) Pavlek, and Jean (Bud) Johnson. Fran was a very loving and supportive wife and mother who would do anything for her family. Despite her “ray of sunshine smile” she could also give as well as she got when bantering with Don. She (along with Don) dedicated her life to being a primary caregiver for Brian and was a devoted DASA volunteer. The Disabled Athlete Sports Association (DASA) was the pinnacle in her continual search for adaptive activities to stimulate her son Brian’s mental sharpness and perpetuate his love of sports, promoting both routine and competitive physical activities. Fran enjoyed traveling with her family, especially to Disney World and national parks. She adored her granddaughters, and you could always find her doing arts and crafts or baking a new dessert with them. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, doing word puzzles, and smoking up a slab of ribs to go with vegetables flown in from Justin’s garden. Fran also had a love for hockey and baseball, especially cheering on the St. Louis Blues and Chicago Cubs with Don and Brian. Fran brought happiness wherever she went, was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Fran's name to Disabled Athlete Sports Association (dasasports.org). Baue Funeral Homes is currently following CDC recommendations regarding mask and social distancing policies.
