Frances Lorene Morris Worth, (nee: Wood) died on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the age of 93. She was born on January 18, 1917 in Willow Springs, MO. Beloved wife of the late Charles Worth and the late Samuel Morris. Loving mother to Barbara Scharnhorst and Woodrow (Joan) Morris; sister to Agnes Brixey and Pauline Wilbanks of West Plains, MO; grandmother to Terry Merk, Vicki Merk Breher, Steven (Kelly) Merk, Michael Merk, Jana Scharnhorst, Diana (Bob) Henry, Greg (Lora) Scharnhorst. She also had five adoring great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Monroe and Mary Viola Wood; her daughter Mary LaVerne Merk; sisters Dorothy Cobb and Audrey Oliver and brothers Dale Wood, Paul Wood and Henry Wood. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was retired from Monsanto Co. in St. Peters. She loved gardening, needlework and a good game of Skip-Bo. Frances was an amazing and inspirational woman who will be missed dearly by her loving family and many friends.
