Francis Alphonse Woertz

Memorials may be given to masses All Saints Catholic Church, Lindenwood University or American Cancer Society. Mr. Woertz worked at Webfoot Lodge for eighteen years and was then the Bar Manager of St. Charles Country Club for twenty-four years. He was currently working in security at the Lindenwood University Club. He was a lifelong member of Moose Lodge of St. Charles #1513. Francis was the last of the Woertz family that came from Germany in the 18th century, having been preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorthea “Dora” Martin; brothers, Charles C. and Edward C.; and, sister, Alma K. Woertz. He is survived by a sister-in-law, nieces, a great-niece and great-nephews, and was a beloved friend of everyone in the Dardenne Prairie area.
