"Gene" Mathews, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the age of 95. Dear husband of the late Bridget Sheehan; dear son of the late Julius W. Roncinske and the late Frances M. Mathews; devoted father of Patricia A. Walkenhorst; dear brother of Alice McQueen. He is preceded in death by his sons, Francis R. Mathews, Thomas Mathews, F. Eugene Mathews, Jr., and brothers Jack Ronsinske and Tom Roncinske. Also survived by: Grandchildren Patrick, Paul Mathews, Kim (Randy) Leach, David Walkenhorst, Jr., Michael (Sandy)Walkenhorst Sr., Donna (Robert) Lamparter, Sherry (Jaime) Shelton, Janet (John) Winkler; GreatGrandchildren: Dan, Courtney Leach, Carissa (Jason) Mooney, Michael, Dustin, Jamie, and Michael Jr., Walkenhorst, Danielle Hoffmann, Alec, Andrew, Carlie Lamparter, Jeseney Vadnais Jacob, Samantha, Emily Winkler Laila Shelton; Great-Great-Grandchild: Cheyenne Abigale Mooney. He was employed as a Materials Planner at ACF Industries. He was a Secretary of the South Rochester Kiwanis (Life time member), involved with Special Olympics and Moose Lodge 1513.
