Frank George Goessler Jr. of St. Charles, MO, passed Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at the age of 63. Beloved husband of Nancy Goessler; cherished son of the late Betty E. and Frank George Goessler Sr.; devoted father of Sara (Tom) Schlansker, and Katie (Kevin) Gerwel; loving grandfather of Grace, Evan, and Maxton Schlansker, Jack, Patrick, and Cecelia Gerwel; dear brother of John (Renee) C. Goessler; adored uncle of Kayla Goessler and Kyle Goessler; and his dear in-laws, other relatives, and friends.
Frank was a dedicated and talented Trumpeter who played professionally for more than 50 years. He freelanced his gift as well as joined his sound with other musicians at venues like the St. Louis Muny, the Peabody Opera House, and many other grand locations. He was also a member of the Bob Kuban Band since 1978. Frank’s skills allowed him to play backup for Bernadette Peters, Frankie Avalon, and many other national entertainers. While sharing his art he also taught future musicians at the Academy of the Sacred Heart in St. Charles, MO and St. Monica Catholic School in Creve Coeur.
When he wasn’t committing his time to his Trumpet and music, Frank liked to cheer on the St. Louis Cardinals. The family would like to extend an invitation for all guests of Frank’s funeral service to wear their favorite St. Louis Cardinal gear while celebrating his life.
Frank was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in his honor to Accel Music Therapy.
