Frank Walter Kerner

Frank Walter Kerner, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at the age of 78, surrounded by loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank H. and Mildred L. Kerner, and by his son Frank G. Kerner.  Loving husband of Carol Kerner; devoted father of Renee (the late Gary) Collins, Lisa Hopp, and Teri Isom; cherished grandfather of Bradley (Emily) Dake, Nicole (Cory) Rice, Michael Hopp, April & Tyler Nuspl, Dallas, Caroline, Lea & Kenny Isom; treasured great-grandfather of Gavin & Emma Dake, Allan Collins-Stroup, Cooper Rice and a new grandson on the way. Frank is also survived by other relatives and many dear friends. 

Frank and Carol were married for 44 loving years. They enjoyed flying airplanes together and traveling to many destinations. Frank worked for the US Food and Drug Administration for 31 years as a chemist and computer specialist. After retirement he pursued his interest in aviation as an aircraft mechanic, building and restoring antique airplanes. Frank enjoyed all kinds of music and was an excellent guitar player.  He was also an avid reader and collector of books and had a great sense of humor.  He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at a later date.
