Frank I. “Frankie” Bruno Sr.
Born in 1939 to Laura P. Bruno (nee Holt) and Frank C. Bruno, he was raised in Frog Town (St. Charles). In 1961 he married Cheryl A. Herbert and to this union he had 3 children, Machelle, Yvonne, and Frankie, Jr. In 1976 after dating for 3 years, he married Glenda L. Williams King, and to this union there were two boys born, Frank “Jim” Bruno and Jason Bruno, joining step-son, Brian King. Frank was into many things growing up. He loved to pull ponies, drive Stock Cars, and as he got older, he was a member of Laborer Local 660 and he worked part time for the City of Winfield. He liked going trout fishing, being at the restaurant telling stories, but most of all, he loved when his kids and grandkids would visit.
Frank is survived by his first wife, Cheryl Lopanec, his present wife of 43 years, Glenda Bruno, children Machelle (Rick) Howarth, Yvonne Bruno, Frank (Kathy) Bruno, Jr., Jim (Annie) Bruno, Jason (Nikki) Bruno, and step-son Brian (Jennifer) King, and sister-in-law Mary Bruno. He has 14 grandchildren with 1 on the way, and 11 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Laura and Frank, 2 brothers Dee and Harold, his mother and father-in-law Walter and Ann Williams, and one nephew Deano.
