Peri, Fred Ronald of Saint Charles, Missouri, died on Sunday, January 4, 2015, at the age of 77. Loving husband of Winnie Lee Peri (nee: Branch); beloved son of the late Rosario and Mary Peri; devoted father of Kenneth (Rhonda) Peri, Michael (Angela) Peri, Desiree (Vince) Peri Klakovich, and Juanita Rose (Jake) Moody; cherished grandfather of Faith Klakovich, Taylor Peri, Anna Klakovich, and Johanna Moody, and great grandfather to Aundrea Martin; dear brother of Ralph Peri. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his siblings Josephine (Peri) Witt, Nancy (Peri) Bernens, Ross Peri, and Marylou Peri. Fred was married and dedicated to his wife Winnie for more than 58 years. He served in the United States Navy from 1954 to 1957, on the USS Midway, USS Knudsen, and USS Mahoning County. Fred graduated from California State University Long Beach with a Civil Engineering Degree, and worked for more than 36 years in the construction industry, including in construction management and contracts administration and on projects in the Republic of South Africa and Saudi Arabia. Fred was a member of the Knights of Columbus (4th Degree), and was an avid woodworker, golfer and bowler in his spare time. He loved the sea, was certified as a PADI Open Water Red Seas Diver and dove in the Red Sea. Fred also worked extensively with his son Mike to restore the USS Midway in San Diego.
