Fred Salmo

Salmo, Fred, of St. Peters, Missouri, died on Friday, June 8, 2012 at the age of 84. Loving husband of Irene Lucille Salmo (nee: Remiger); dear son of the late John and Maria Salmo; devoted father of Jean (Paul) Hanson, David (Susan) Salmo, and Paul (Suzanne) Salmo; cherished grandfather of Eric (Sarah), Christine, Brian, Anna, Andrew, and Heidi (Kevin); and dearest great-grandfather of Owen, Olivia, and Maggie. He is preceded in death by his siblings Rose Bagatti, Joseph Salmo, and Angelo Salmo. Fred was a sheet metal worker for the Local Union 36 for 60 years and proudly served in the US Army Air Corps. He enjoyed tinkering with sheet metal products even in retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, photography, traveling, and 40's music. Nevertheless, his main passion in life was his family. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Memorials may be made to Masses.
