Frederick H. Meyerotto of Saint Charles, MO, passed away at the Missouri Veteran Home in St. Louis on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Alma Meyerotto; cherished son of the late George and Cora Pearl Meyerotto; devoted father of Marcus (Karin) Meyerotto, Bonnie (Jay) Miller, Dennie (Denise) Meyerotto, and Teresa (Doug) Ehlmann; loving grandfather of 11; treasured great-grandfather of 10 1/2; and dear brother of Emogene Witthaus. Frederick is preceded in death by his sisters Mary & Dolly.
Frederick proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and he and his battalion brothers of 397th were awarded a Presidential Unit Citation for their action on D-Day, and he was awarded additional honors for his service. After serving his country he returned home to meet his beloved wife Alma and become a mechanic. He was also a long-time member of St. John U.C.C. in St. Charles. Frederick was dearly loved and will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend by all who knew him.
