G. Peter Sarandos

G. Peter Sarandos, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at the age of 84. Beloved husband of 27 wonderful years to Penny Sarandos; devoted father of Peter J. Sarandos, David M. (Annette) Sarandos, Christopher (Rebecca) Sarandos, Dion (Lorrie) Sarandos, and Richard Hoffman; proud grandfather of 10; treasured great-grandfather of 4; and loving brother of Chrisoula Dover.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Penelope Sarantakis, and his sisters, Helen, Bessie, Georgia, and Mary.

Peter was the owner of Pete's Market which he started in 1959 with the first location on Delmar in St. Louis City. He then branched out and had many other locations in both St. Louis and the St. Charles area. He had a very loyal customer base. He was known to be very bossy but in a good way. Peter was a very kind, loving person and would give you the shirt of his back. It was never a dull moment with Peter, you never knew what was coming. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
