Gale E. Smith

Gale E. Smith, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at the age of 89. Loving husband of Virginia "Ginny" M. Smith; beloved son of the late Elmer and Lillian Smith; devoted father of Rod Smith, Darren (Lori) Smith, and Brian P. Smith; cherished grandfather of five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Gale is also preceded in death by his brother, Roger Smith.

Gale proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War on battleship Iowa. Gale retired from McDonnell Douglas after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Overland-Occidental No. 623 Masonic Lodge and was a 32^nd Degree Scottish Rite Member of Valley of St Louis Orient of Missouri. Gale was a very proud man. He was devoted to his wife and sons. Family was the most important part of his life. Gale was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Gale's name to the Parkinson's Foundation.
