Garrett Jeffrey Elam

Elam, Garrett Jeffrey, of O’Fallon, MO, formerly of Greencastle, IN, died on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at the age of 53. Beloved son of Evelyn (Robert) Kuhlmann and Lawrence (Jane) Elam, Sr.; dear brother of Jerrold Elam and Donna (Marilee Richards) Elam; dear stepbrother of Brad (Inez) Pace, Bryan Pace, Stephanie Pace, and Robert (Chris) Kuhlmann; cherished uncle of Cathryn June Elam, Drew Evelyn Elam, and Jae Caroline Elam; dear nephew of Etta Elam Yearly and Ellen Elam Weiss; and also survived by cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother Lawrence Charles Elam, Jr.

Jeff graduated from Greencastle High School in 1980. He then received his Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University in 1984, where he was also a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Jeff has worked for Commerce Bank in the St. Louis area for nearly 20 years. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Bears, and IU Hoosiers Basketball sports fan.
