Gary John Leibach of Saint Peters, MO, passed away at the age of 72 on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Joyce Leibach; his brother, Doug Leibach and his grandson, Anthony Adams.
Gary is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jane Leibach; his son, Matt Leibach; his stepchildren, Greg (Linda) Roeder, Jody (Jeff) Adams and Stacy Snyder; his siblings, Barb Repp, and Vickie Ashley; his grandchildren, Meagan (Zach Tunison) Oliver, Brett (Cassie) Wilga, Morgan (Tyler) Thwing, Emily (Alex Zykan) Roeder, Alex (Adrianna Green) Roeder, Grace Snyder, Kendyl Snyder, Gavin Snyder, Kyle Snyder, Matt Leibach Jr., Haley Leibach, and Chase Leibach; his great-grandchildren, Evelynn Thwing, Zach Tunison and Zoey Tunison; and his beloved feline friend, Bella.
Gary was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served during the Vietnam War where he was awarded a Purple Heart Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Metal and Vietnam Service Medal. After his service, Gary dedicated himself serving the community of Kirwood as firefighter for over 40 years before retiring in 2016.
He was a faithful member of Grace Community Chapel where he volunteered to greet his fellow churchgoers at the door with a smile. Whenever he had free time, Gary enjoyed going out bowling or spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
