Gary R. Wagener

Gary R Wagener, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020 in the comfort of his own home surrounded by family at the age of 72. Beloved husband of 47 years to Donna Wagener and cherished son of the late Virgina and Leonard Wagener. Devoted father of Chris (Chrysa) Wagener, Greg (Laura) Wagener, Anne Giambalvo, and Beth (Mitch) Nelson; loving grandfather of Emma Kay, Logan, Dominic, August, Owen, Blake, Lillian, Gavin, Harper, and Reid; dear brother of Bill (Pat) Wagener and Tom (the late Barb) Wagener.

Gary proudly served in the United States Army and was a combat veteran of the Vietnam War and participated in a 2017 Honor Flight. He attended Grace Presbyterian Church in Dardenne Prairie for over 15 years. Gary was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. His greatest joy was spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and introducing them to the outdoor lifestyle he enjoyed. He was a proud small business owner who never met a stranger. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
