She was preceded in death by her parents, John Jefferson Hewitt, Sr. and Grace V. Hewitt, brother, John J. Hewitt, Jr. and sister, Linda Chittenden. Gayle was the President/General Manager at Data Entry Services, St. Charles, Missouri. She was also the President of the Boys & Girls Club of St. Charles County.
