George Dowell

George Dowell, of Wentzville, MO, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Mildred Dowell; cherished son of the late Hermel and Martha Dowell; devoted father of Garreth (Rose) Dowell, Edward D. (Suzy Tims) Dowell, James L. (Angela) Dowell, Steven Dowell, and Charles Dowell; loving grandfather of Vicki (Nathan Hart) Dowell, Jennifer Ann Dowell, Connie Dowell, Daniel (Laura) Dowell, and Zachary (Macie) Dowell; dear brother of the late Harl Dowell and the late Delores Lamphier; George is also survived by his special cousin, Donna.

George proudly and honorably served in the United States Navy for 22 years. After his service to his country, he worked at McDonnell-Douglas then Emerson Electric for a short time, before going back to McDonnell-Douglas. George had a hobby of refinishing furniture. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. George was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in George's name to Missouri Veterans Home.
