George Ketterman

George Kelly Ketterman, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of 50 years to Glenda S. Ketterman (nee Middeke); devoted father of Ronald (Shirley) Ketterman, Karla Ockerhausen, George K. (Sally) Ketterman, Jr., Tammy (Steven) Morton; Steve (Trina) Ketterman, Scott (Shannon) Ockerhausen, and Kelley Ketterman; cherished grandfather of 15 and great-grandfather of 12; dear brother of Mary Cathleen Mallow, Janet Cross, Delores Brinizer, Dave Ketterman, Norma Jean Knotts.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Mabel (nee Roy) Ketterman; and siblings, Carol Sue Ketterman, Daniel Ketterman, and Melvin Ketterman.

George was born January 19, 1936 in Alpena, West Virginia. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for 4 years where he was later brought to the St. Louis area after being stationed at Fort Leonard Wood. After his military service, George had a successful career at McDonnell Douglas and eventually retired after 37 years. He married the love of his life, Glenda Middeke on March 9, 1968 and they spent 50 wonderful years together.

In his spare time, George enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He was a kind and loving man who never met a stranger. He was truly loved by all who knew him.
