George Washington Thompson of Lake Saint Louis, MO, passed Thursday, May 10, 2018, at the age of 85. Beloved husband of the late Audrey Mae Thompson; cherished son of the late Henry Willis and Velia Ola Thompson; devoted father of Pamela  (Dennis) Giesmann and Randall (Vickie) Thompson; loving grandfather of Tanashe' (Kenny) Martin, Luke  (Mandy) Giesmann, Jarred (Suzanne) Thompson, Allyson (Nathan) Williams, and Adam (Kimberly) Thompson; treasured great-grandfather of Brandon, Ethan, Connor, Shayla, Evie, J.J., Lukas, Peyton, Cheyenne, Briana, Adeline, Presli, Izzy, Lyla, and Liam; dear brother of Boyd (Ruth) Thompson, Helen (the late Clifford) Betts, Charlene (the late Billy Joe) Doremus, Robert B. (the late Beatrice) Thompson, Mary Elizabeth (the late Earl "Buddy") Rogers, Billy Ray (Sharon) Thompson; and brother-in-law to Jerry and Darlene Johnson, Mabel Shields, Alma Francis Deckard, Betty ( the late Kenny) Roberts, and Elda and Larry Bassham. George was also a beloved Uncle, Great Uncle, Great-Great Uncle, Cousin, & cherished friend to many 

George was also preceded in death by his brothers: Charlie Otho Thompson, Henry Buford "Boots" Thompson, Clydes Glen Thompson, sister: Georgia "Jean" Maxine Brewer, and sisters-in-law: Aliene Thompson and Patricia Terwilliger, and brother-in-law Frank Johnson. 

George proudly served in the United States Navy. George was an avid outdoorsman, whether it be tending to his flowers or working on the farm. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and displayed his trophies in his home. George's family was his life. He loved following his grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's activities and sporting events. His family was his pride and joy. George will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Memorials may be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or Alzheimer's Association in George's honor.
