Gerald Elmer Shatro
March 8, 1942 — April 3, 2015
Gerald Elmer 'Gerry' Shatro of Saint Charles, MO, died on Friday April 3, 2015, at the age of 73. Loving husband of Sandra Shatro; beloved son of the late George and Olga Shatro; devoted father of Craig Shatro; cherished grandfather of Andrew "Drew" Kielty; dear brother of Ronald Shatro and Georgia Davis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Gerry served his country in the U.S. Marines. He was an active member of the Marine Corp League, Wounded Warriors Focus Group, American Legion, and Lions Club of St. Charles, He was an avid golfer and enjoyed working at the farmers market. Gerry was known as "Smiley" and never met a stranger. He was a people person, but most of all he loved his family. Gerry also served as an usher at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart and Lung Association.
