Gerald “Gerry” Stanley Larson

Gerald “Gerry” Stanley Larson, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at the age of 80. Loving husband of Alma Larson; beloved son of the late Glenn Edwin and Stella Geneva Larson; devoted father of Todd (Karol) Larson, Terry (Elena) Larson, Teresa (Dennis) Valdez, Tina (Steve) Jones, Tammy (the late Steve) Jackson, and Monty (Betty) Larson; proud grandfather of Ryan Larson, Ashleigh (Lance) Taylor, Heidi Hartwig, Leonidas Larson, Aristotle Larson, Tarah Valdez, Tiffany (Jeff) Sosa, Tabitha (Chris) Moyer, Ryan Grimshaw, Mandy (Kyle) Blair, Logan Larson, and Lilly Beth (Stacey) Ooten; and treasured great-grandfather of 7. Gerry was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: Ronnie, Donald, David, and Al.

Gerry proudly served in the Navy from November 1956 to October 1966 aboard the aircraft carrier USS Roosevelt during the Vietnam era, as an aircraft mechanic. He then dedicated more than 49 years as a section manager in technical publications for Boeing. He  was a true giver with a caring heart. He often went out of his way to help anyone who needed help. Gerry was a loving grandfather who was very involved in his grandchildren’s’ lives. You could often find him working on projects with them. He was a faithful servant of Christ. He impacted every person he met and touched many hearts. Gerry was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

Memorial contributions may be made in Gerald’s honor to the building fund at Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
