Gerald K. Bussen

Bussen, Gerald K., of Lake Sherwood, MO, died on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at the age of 85. Loving husband of Frances Bussen; beloved son of the late August and Stella Bussen; devoted father of David Bussen, Catherine (Brian) Bagby, Patricia (Mike) Finan, and Christopher (Renee) Bussen; cherished grandfather of Shawn (Jen) Bussen, Patrick Bagby, Ian (Kasey) Bagby, Sarah Bussen, Kate Bussen, Steven Bussen, Julie Bussen, Michael Finan, and Melisa (Michael) Peterson; treasured great-grandfather of Jayda Oberts, Jenna, Jordan, and Jeffrey Peterson, and Christian and Addie Bussen; dear brother of Melvin (Carol) Bussen, Leroy (Rhonda) Bussen, and Thomas Bussen. He is preceded in death by his brothers Emmit James Bussen and William H. Bussen.

Gerald was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Missouri State Curriculum Committee, Suburban Industrial Arts Association, and the Supervisor Committee of the Credit Union. He was the chairman of the North Central Evaluation for Teachers industrial arts, chairman of Metal Working Committee, and Teacher of the year three times for Hazelwood Central High School, and also State of Missouri Industrial Arts Teacher of the year. Mostly, Gerald loved being with his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
