Simon, Gerald "Jerry", of Portage Des Sioux, Missouri, died on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the age of 70. Loving husband of DeLoris A. Simon (nee: Clem); beloved son of the late William and Catherine Simon; devoted father of Jerome (Kimberly) Simon and William (Mehlia) Simon; cherished grandfather of Kayla, Karissa, Abigail, Bryce, and Brayden; dear brother of Rose Ann (Maurice) Saale and Jeanette Maschmidt. He is preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Simon.
Jerry was a life long resident of Portage Des Sioux. He spent his life as a Marine Mechanic and Owner of Portage Repair Service and Marine Technology. He enjoyed woodworking, firearms, and spending time outdoors with his family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Francis Church of Portage.
