Memorials to Masses preferred or donations of your choice. Gertrude M. Orf, (97) St. Charles, MO, died April 7, 2002 at Charleviox Nursing Home in St. Charles. Preceding her in death was her husband, Henry; infant son Lawrence, and daughter Eileen; parents Cora and Henry Bextermueller; three brothers, Adolph, Bernard, and Lawrence. Mrs. Orf was employed at Lindenwood University before retiring in 1976. Among the survivors are three sons and two daughters: Richard (Loraine) and Dallas (Ruth) of St. Charles: Eugene (Shirley) of St. Louis; Carol McEwen (Jim) of St. Charles; Doris Welch (Jim) of St. Louis. Also survived are two brothers, and seven sisters; Henry of Portage Des Sioux; Eugene of Florissant; Bernadine Dunsford of St. Peters; Helen Walsh of North Carolina; Cleo Mayer of Godfrey, IL; Margaret Gusnard of St. Louis; Marian Burns of Glen Carbon, IL; Corine Fehlig of Belleville, IL; Sister Joanella SSND of St. Louis, MO. Fourteen grandchildren; preceded in death by Gail Shreve and infant Thomas Orf; nineteen great grandchildren
