Gilbert Walton

Gilbert was the beloved son of the late Van and Minnie Walton; loving husband of the late Shirley Walton; cherished father of Terry (Marlene) Walton, Steven (Vicki) Walton and Janet Hinkle; dear grandfather of Amy Hinkle, Jason (Jennifer) Walton, Diana (Sam) Matthis, Curtis (Jennifer) Walton, Steven II ''Brian'' (Erin) Walton, and the late Heather Walton; dear great-grandfather of Ashleigh Matthis, Sydney Matthis, Trevor Walton and Steven ''Ender'' Walton III. Preceded in death by brothers Frank and Van Walton and sisters Lula Mae Broker, Kathy Clark, Ruby Hill and Lorene Schmuke. Gilbert worked for Charles Vatterott Construction Company in St. Charles for thirty-five years and was a member of carpenters local 1987 for over fifty years. He was also a lifetime member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church O'Fallon, Missouri. Memorials may be made to General Fund Missouri Veterans Home Mexico, Missouri or Cornerstone United Methodist Church.
