Gina Riccio, (nee: Barber) of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at the age of 76. Cherished daughter of the late Jeff and Hattie Barber. Gina was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Joe Riccio. Devoted mother of Rick (Jessie) Riccio, Sabrena (the late Jim) Hardeman and Mary Riccio; loving grandmother of Ally Hardeman, Katie Hardeman and Jay Riccio-Hardeman; dear sister of Wallace Barber and Roy Barber. Loving aunt, cousin and friend to many. She is preceded in the death by her brothers, Jay Prater and Rethel Barber, and her sister, Betty Lea.
Gina and Joe owned and operated the Riccio’s Pizza Drive Inn in Jonesboro, Arkansas for several years. She was the director of the J.W. Rich Girls Club in West Memphis, Arkansas where she influenced the lives of countless young women. Gina served as a postal clerk at the Post Office and retired after many years.
Gina was an avid thrift shopper and loved arts and crafts. She loved to play bingo at St. Roberts and was very competitive at Scrabble and Rummy. Gina enjoyed playing games and spending time with her family, as family was most important to her. She loved to help others and would give to many different organizations. Gina was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Details to follow.
