Gladys was born in Whitewater, MO, on August 6, 1923. Throughout her life, Gladys deeply loved her family and cherished the time that she was able to spend with them. People always described her as a genuinely “sweet” and loyal person. She enjoyed her time as a homemaker, but also worked outside of the home: during World War II, Gladys worked at the St. Louis Army Ammunition Plant and later worked at Emerson Electric. Gladys always had a positive attitude towards life and provided hope and encouragement to many while prioritizing the needs of others above her own. She enjoyed cooking, playing bingo at the VFW, traveling with her husband, cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals, playing cards, and spending time with friends. She was a long-time member of Marvin Park United Methodist Church.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff and caregivers at
Glenfield Memory Care for their loving care, kindness, and compassion.
Memorial contributions may be made in Gladys’ honor to Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church.
