Glenn Edward Dumey

Glenn Edward Dumey, of Cottleville, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the age of 89. Loving husband of 60 wonderful years to Frances Dumey; beloved son of the late Edward Joseph and Syvilla Dumey; devoted father of Valerie Pavia, Timothy (Laura) Dumey, Robyn Bruer, and Patrick (Lisa) Dumey; cherished grandfather of Sarah (Alan) Juden, Nicholas Blackburn, Jacob Dumey, Payton Blackburn, Jade Pavia, Madeline Dumey, and Amy Bruer; treasured great-grandfather of Landon Juden and Adelyn Juden; brother-in-law of Jean Dumey. Glenn is preceded in death by his brother, Paul Dumey.

Glenn proudly served his country with honor in the United States Navy, serving in the Korean War. He retired from Boeing, and also worked at St. Louis Auto Auction. Glenn was a talented wood carver and belonged to the St. Peters Wood Carving Club. He also enjoyed playing cards and gardening, and kindly donated his time to aid the Red Cross during the flood of 1993. Glenn is lovingly remembered by his family as a gentle and quiet man, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
