Glenna J. Lower, of Florissant, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at the age of 82. Loving wife of 52 years to the late Roger Lower; beloved daughter of the late Glenn Newman and the late Bernice Matthews; devoted mother of Mark (Lynda) Lower, Launa (Eric) Danielson, and Carol (Ken) Garrison; cherished Grammy of Abigail Danielson, Emily Danielson, Lori (Alex) Beyersdorf, Michelle Lower, Maisy Garrison, and Nash Garrison; dearest sister of Judy Wilson (nee Newman), Steven (Becky) Newman, and the late Sean Newman.
Glenna graduated from the Blessing Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1960, and she went on to practice in Illinois, Minnesota and Missouri. She retired after more than 20 years in the medical field, so she could spend as much time as possible with her family and grandchildren.
Glenna was a dedicated Christian and always did more for others than herself. People would often say, “Glenna has never met a stranger.”
As an outgoing and energetic social butterfly, Glenna enjoyed spending time with her friends. She made friendships that lasted a lifetime. Whether she was going to lunch with The Happy Hearts crew, or hanging out with her Beehive Buddies Precious Moments collectors group, she was sure to have a good time.
Glenna was an avid Precious Moments collector, and had quite a collection. She loved to show them to anyone who visited her, and everyone knew how precious they were to her.
Glenna was dearly loved by many, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorial contributions may be made in Glenna's name to
Autism Speaks.
