Gloria Joan Kolenc

With a heavy heart we announce the passing of our beloved sister, aunt, great aunt, cousin, and devoted friend Gloria “Glo” Kolenc. She passed away along with her long-term partner and companion William “Bill” Cowley in Dardenne Prairie, MO on September 17, 2024. Gloria was born to Nathan and Molly Wexler on December 6, 1947, in Chicago, IL. She earned a nursing degree at Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing in MO and was a practicing nurse for over 25 years. Gloria was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed playing mahjong, scuba diving, traveling, camping, RV excursions and was also an avid reader. She provided many memorable summers with her niece Becky, taking her on great adventures. Gloria is survived by her sister Alice Biner (Don Froom), niece Becky (David) Savlin, great niece Melody Udany, along with many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Nathan and Molly Wexler, and her four-legged children, her beloved dogs, Cinnamon, and Danielle.

A celebration of life will be held on October 5, 2024, 1:00 PM, Baue Funeral Home Cave Springs, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles, MO 63301.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Wayside Waifs animal shelter.
