Gloria Ann Meyer (nee Rahn), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Friday, December 27, 2024 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Marvin Meyer; cherished daughter of the late Henry and Catherine Rahn; devoted mother of Susan (Mark) Stewart and Cathy (Bob) Sweany; loving grandmother of Andrea (John Scott) Pennington, Sean (Lisa Carpenter) Sweany, Mark Sweany and the late David Pennington; dear sister of the late Doloris Ford and the late Hank Rahn.
Gloria’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with vibrant passions and cherished memories. An avid quilter, Gloria’s artistry lives on through the countless quilts she created, many of which are showcased in the Quilt Museum. She passed her love for quilting to her daughter Susan, ensuring her creativity and craft would endure for generations.
A lover of books and a keen follower of politics, Gloria’s intellect and curiosity inspired all who knew her. She enjoyed lively discussions, always staying informed and engaged with the world around her.
Gloria cherished getting together with her bowling friends, creating laughter and camaraderie that brightened her days. She and her husband shared a love of adventure, traveling extensively in their motor home, making memories that enriched their bond.
Above all, Gloria adored her family. She treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren, creating a lifetime of joy and love. A devoted partner, she worked alongside her beloved husband on their farm, embodying teamwork and dedication.
Gloria’s love, warmth, and generosity touched everyone she met. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Gloria's name to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.
