Gloria Steed

Gloria Marie Steed (nee Holden), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the age of 100. Beloved wife of the late Robert “Raine” Steed; cherished daughter of the late Arthur and Isabelle Holden; devoted mother of Barbara (the late Jack) Oliver, Robert (Kitty) Steed, Jr., Carol (Lenny) Green, the late James (Donna survives) Steed, Patricia (the late James) Nobles, Betty (Robin) Satterley and Jacqui Steed; loving grandmother of 22, treasured great-grandmother of 37 and great-great-grandmother of one; dear sister of the late Richard Holden.

Gloria graduated from DePaul School of Nursing in 1941 and retired after many years of being a registered nurse. She was a longtime active member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Gloria was an avid reader who loved to play Bridge, swim, and cross-stitch. Gloria was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Gloria's name to St. Vincent DePaul or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
