Guenther Smole, of O'Fallon, Missouri, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018, at the age of 69. Loving husband of the late Patricia Ann Smole; beloved son of Ernst Smole and the late Irmgard Smole; devoted father of Lisa (Stacey) Gossett, Amy (the late Jeff) Rhodes, and Kim Roberts; proud grandfather of Kevin (Melissa Rose) Gossett, Chelsea Gossett, Nickalaus and Jake Rhodes, and Dillon Roberts; treasured great-grandfather of Landon Gossett; and dear brother of Margot Exner, Monica (Steve) Frank, and Rick Smole.
Guenther was a charter member of the O'Fallon Elks Lodge and a 50-year member of the Carpenters Union. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching NASCAR and the St. Louis Cardinals. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
Memorial contributions may be made in Guenther’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association.
