H. Richard Dill

Dill, H. Richard of Maryland Heights, Missouri, born on March 24, 1932 in Decatur, IL to the late Harold and Nettie Dill, passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on November 2, 2018. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Timothy Cook.

Richard served in the US Navy from 1951-1955. He graduated from Millikin University in Decatur, IL in 1958 with a degree in Accounting. During his career Richard worked for W.R. Grace & Co., Carboline Company and St. Charles Sand Company.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Carol Bruns Dill. He has three children, Nancy (Kevin) Cook, Stephen (Peggy) Dill and Susan (Michael) Hayes. Richard has seven grandsons: Ryan (Danielle) Cook, Christopher (Melissa) Cook, Andrew (Natalie Swanson) Cook, Richard Dill, Jeremiah Dill, Sean Hayes, and Zachary Hayes, two granddaughters: Melissa Dill and Danielle Hayes and one great-granddaughter: Sidney Cook. Richard loved his family, dogs and all things associated with railroads and trains.

Private burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

A Memorial Service at John Calvin Presbyterian Church, 12567 Natural Bridge Rd., Bridgeton, MO, Vis. November 17, 10-11am, Celebration of Life, 11am with a luncheon following the service.
