Harlan Arnold Kolkmeier

Harlan Arnold Kolkmeier, of Washington, MO, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Darlene E. Kolkmeier; cherished son of the late August H. and Bertha Kolkmeier. Devoted father of David (Patricia) Kolkmeier, Jean (Mike) Vollertsen, Judy (Brian) Seltzer, Rich (Lisa) Kolkmeier, and Jo (Elizabeth Radford) Kolkmeier; loving grandfather of Ben, Mark (Nichole), Kevin, Sarah, Laura, Anna, Tim, Zach, Clayton (Emma), and Jimmy; treasured great-grandfather of Emma and Sophia; beloved uncle cousin, and friend.

Preceded in death by his first wife Melba (Hemsath) and by his siblings, Omar, Grace, Louise, Ethel, and Art.

Harlan was a member of Frieden's UCC, St Charles, MO. Due to losing his brother, Omar, in WWII, Harlan attended and hosted reunions for Omar's company, the 39th Regiment Company B Combat Engineers. Harlan enjoyed fishing and rooting for the St Louis Cardinals. He loved spending time with his family, especially with the grandchildren and the two great granddaughters.  His favorite past time was watching westerns along with his wife Darlene. Harlan was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Harlan's name to Parkinson's Foundation or the American Heart Association.
