Knop, Harley H., of Bridgeton, MO, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017, at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Velma R. Knop; cherished son of the late Herman and Martha Knop; devoted father of Larry Allen (Nancy) Knop, Karen (Joe) Orlando, and the late Janet Knop; loving grandfather of Lisa (Dan) Sullivan, Brian (Stacy) Knop, James (Denise) Orlando, and Melissa (Benton) Kooman; treasured great-grandfather of Michael, David, Nicole, Ashley, Gavin and Michael; and dear friend of Janet. Harley was also preceded in death by his siblings, Edwin Knop and Bernard Knop. He was also a loving uncle and dear friend to all who knew him.
Harley proudly served our country during World War II in the United States Army. He was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Bridgeton, Missouri. He was also a member of Alton VFW Post 1308. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling, dancing, and golfing. He was deeply loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.
