Harley E. Wilburn, of O Fallon, Missouri, passed away Monday, October 12, 2020 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of 68 years to Betty Lou Wilburn (Nee Wallace); cherished son of the late Andy and Reba Wilburn; devoted father of Sandra (the late Steven) Richardson, Gary (Terry) Wilburn, Steven (Carolyn) Wilburn and Keith (Tamara) Wilburn; loving grandfather of Cara Smith (James), Kelly Ziegler (Russell), Stacey Decker (Jim), Jeff Wilburn, Heather Davis (Steven), Jennifer Eyler (Todd), Rebecca Bohn (Todd), Dan Oberle, Kaitlyn Wisa (Scott), Stacie Keene (Brad), Sara Ellison (Noah), Brandon Hansen, Kayla Capuano, Rachael Capuano, Kyle Capuano, Keith Wilburn Jr. (Marissa), Amanda McGuire (Matthew), and Sandy Wilburn, along with numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Harley is also survived by his siblings, Delores (the late Art) Sauget, Darryl (Linda) Wilburn, and Barbara Goodman.
Harley is also preceded in death by three brothers, James (Fran) Wilburn, Bob (June) Wilburn and Larry Wilburn and his stepmother, Doris Wilburn.
Harley proudly and honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans 23
rd Infantry Regiment – Korean War Vets. He liked hunting and gardening. Harley played baseball while in the Army and enjoyed watching on TV in later years. He loved his family and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Harley really liked watching politics and was a devout FOX News fan. Harley was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Harley's name to
