Harold DeWayne Gwinn, of Saint Louis, MO, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2019 at the age of 65. Beloved husband of Leisa Gwinn; cherished son of the late Walter and Maxine Gwinn; devoted father of Erin (Antonino) Sanfilippo and Charles (Valerie) Gwinn, and step-father of Jennifer Nilges, John (Jill) Tobin, Bonnie (Thomas) East, Robert (Jodi) Henson, Terry (Kevin) Gude, and Mark (Genny) Miller; loving grandfather of Jonah Nilges and Brody Tobin; dear brother of Linda (Gregory) Hoffman, Rebecca Natoli, Bonita Haley and Patricia (Don) Grovo, and the late Daniel Gwinn and John Gwinn. Harold is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Harold was an accomplished, lifelong carpenter and was a member of the Carpenters Union for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting and was a skilled horseshoe thrower. Harold also enjoyed gardening and he liked tinkering and repairing things. All the neighborhood children knew they could come to him for a new bicycle tire or repair, he was very generous with his time and was always glad to help. Harold was very knowledgeable of many things, especially mechanics which he understood very easily.
Harold was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
