Harold Edward Aholt Sr., of Wentzville, MO, passed away Friday, July 1, 2022 at the age of 87. Loving husband of the late Carol Anne Hummel; Beloved son of the late Clem Joseph and Rose Ann Adams; devoted father of Ed (Janice) Aholt, Cheryl (Joseph) Huels, Michael John (Margaret) Aholt, and Matthew Roland Aholt; cherished grandfather of Christopher (Heather) Aholt, Nicholas Aholt, Joshua Aholt, Nicole Huels, Adam "AJ" (Emma) Huels, Jeremy and Rachel, Erin Aholt, and Emily Aholt; treasured great-grandfather of Jonah and Samuel Aholt, Clark Kiner, and Serenity Aholt; brother-in-law of Gloria Aholt; dear brother of Bob (Susan) Aholt, John (the late Donna) Aholt; beloved brother-in-law, uncle and friend. Harold is also survived by his loving neighbors, Rick and Jamie. Harold is preceded in death by his sister, Leah (Harry) Schrader; brothers, Clem Aholt and Donald (Fran) Aholt.
Harold proudly served in the United States Army. He worked as a carpenter and was a member of Carpenters Union Local # 412. Harold was also a member of the Optimist Club in Wentzville, MO and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Harold loved spending time outdoors where he enjoyed fishing, working in his garden, and bird watching. He liked taking retreats to the White House and praying his rosary. Harold loved baseball and liked fixing things. Harold was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
