Louis, 79 passed away at his home on Friday September 19, 2003; he was fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church. Beloved husband of the late Ruth K. Louis (nee Dyle), beloved father of Susan Koedding (William) and Michael Louis (Vicki). Dear Grandfather of Todd Benne (Christine), Stephanie Hellmann (Jo-seph), Jeffrey, Jenelle, and Justin Louis. Dear Great Grandfather of Alyson, Katelyn, Nicholas, Gabrielle, Austin, and Adam. Dear son of the late Anthony F. and Louise Louis. Dear brother of Rosemary Rogers, Jean Rohlfing, Donald and Gerald Louis, and Barbara Goodheart, and the late William, Anthony, and Lawrence Louis. Our dear brother-in-law, godfather, uncle, cousin, friend to many and loved by all. Decorated (Purple Heart and three Bronze Stars) U.S. Army. WWII veteran of European Campaign. Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, New Melle Post 5651. Member of the 738th Tank Battalion Veterans Group. Mr. Louis was a proud member and served in several offices of United Cement Lime & Gympsum Workers Union AFL-CIO Local 36. He eventually served as an International Organizer for the Union.
