Harold P. Menzel

Harold P. Menzel, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022 at the age of 95. Loving husband of the late Doris Menzel; beloved son of the late Albert and Gertrude Menzel; devoted father of Kim (Perry) Roberts, Kathy (Frank) Laughlin, Kristina Justus, and Kevin (Patti) Menzel; cherished grandfather of Matthew (Haley) Roberts, Taylor Menzel, Kaitlin Menzel, Garrett Laughlin, Sadie Laughlin, Colby Justus, and Brianna Justus. Harold is also preceded in death by nine siblings. 

Harold was a hardworking man who dedicated many years at Star Manufacturing and then went on to retire from Hunter Engineering after another devoted 23 years, still cherishing the friendships that he made there. Harold proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans, and served as a state commander twice, also attending many conventions in support of DAV. After retirement, Harold enjoyed traveling with Doris, going on cruises, and their trips to Las Vegas. In his free time, Harold spent time working outside in his yard and spending time with family. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Memorials may be made in Harold's name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
